The FTSE/JSE SWIX 40 Index is a shareholder weighted index that represents the 40 largest stocks with an adjustment to the market capitalization by excluding non-South African holdings, which have a listing on the JSE. The FTSE/JSE TOP 40 Index is used and then the market-cap is adjusted to exclude non South African holdings and is calculated by FTSE /JSE. The index is rebalanced on a quarterly basis and the result of the rebalance is published.
